Abandoned Dog Makes Heartfelt Attempt To Rejoin Family’s Car

The topic of animal mistreatment is one that easily ignites fury in the majority of individuals. Social media platforms only amplify this anger, as stories of abused or deserted animals seem to emerge far too frequently.

Animal enthusiasts don’t hold back when expressing their opinions about individuals who treat animals in such a cruel manner. And they had plenty to say about a recent incident captured on video.

After catching a glimpse of CCTV footage, social media users were devastated, bewildered, and appalled. The footage revealed a dog being callously abandoned on the side of the road. Despite the dog’s frantic attempts to get back into the car, it was completely disregarded, and the car simply drove away, leaving the distressed creature behind.

It’s truly heart-wrenching.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), a charitable organization focused on advocating for animal welfare, was responsible for circulating this footage. The incident took place in the town of Stoke-on-Trent, England, at the intersection of Pacific Road and Timor Grove. On December 17th, around 5:00 PM, two individuals abandoned the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

“The footage is beyond belief, it’s utterly dreadful,” commented Natalie Perehovsky, an RSPCA inspector. “Witnessing the poor dog in such evident distress, desperately leaping towards the car as it drives away, is utterly heart-breaking. It’s incomprehensible how someone could commit such an act. We’ve managed to trace two previous owners in the Birmingham area through the microchip scan performed by the veterinarians, but our investigation indicates that neither of them are the current owners or responsible for abandoning the dog.”

“In the footage, one man can be clearly seen dumping the dog,” she continued, “while another person occupies the driver’s seat of the car. I’m eager to hear from anyone who can identify the vehicle, the man, or the dog. The veterinary staff have affectionately named the dog Snoop, and he is currently in good health, estimated to be around two years old.”

“He’s a white Staffordshire Bull Terrier with black markings, and he possesses an incredibly friendly and lovely nature. At the moment, he’s being well-cared for at a private boarding kennel, receiving all the necessary attention while I carry out further investigations. It’s unimaginable that someone could abandon a dog like this during Christmas. However, we are immensely grateful to the compassionate individuals who discovered Snoop sitting sorrowfully in his bed and promptly took him to the safety of the veterinarians.”

Fortunately, approximately an hour after being abandoned, someone discovered Snoop. The pup was found together with his dog bed, both left behind.

The kind person brought Snoop to the veterinary clinic, which subsequently alerted the RSPCA. They have initiated an investigation to locate the dog’s owners.
