Easton, a young boy from Canada, was given the option of any companion at the animal shelter.

The young boy examined every furry countenance he could find on the Exploits Valley SPCA Adoptables Facebook page. There were numerous delightful dogs and cats, but Easton came across a 10-year-old feline named Tiny.

“We posted him on as a courtesy post so he wouldn’t have to come in the shelter until absolutely necessary,” Exploits Valley SPCA informed Love Meow.

Contrary to his name, Tiny is actually quite substantial. The sizable ginger cat was described by the shelter as being “weight challenged” as well as “timid.” Tiny possesses a “large rounded stomach that he adores having stroked,” Exploits Valley SPCA Adoptables shared.

Tiny was initially brought to the shelter with his sister, Trinity. Their previous owner could no longer provide for them, and was compelled to surrender the cats. They both held onto the hope of being adopted when Easton’s mother decided to welcome a new companion.

Trinity wasn’t particularly attached to her brother and may still be searching for a forever home, but Tiny became Easton’s the moment he laid eyes on the cat. This became even more evident after their initial visit to the shelter.

“Easton adored Tiny because Tiny adored him. From the moment he saw him, Tiny never displayed any signs of aloofness,” Easton’s Mom told Love Meow.

“The family officially completed the adoption paperwork, and a remarkable image taken on the way home showed Tiny lounging on, or more accurately, completely taking over, his new owner’s lap,” Exploits Valley SPCA later posted on Facebook. “During the ride home, Tiny escaped from his crate and snuggled up with his new owner, and has been inseparable from him ever since.”

“Hopefully Easton will provide Tiny with all the belly strokes he deserves!” The shelter wrote.
