The men’s misguided attempt to take selfies with the untamed creatures resulted in a heated confrontation that led to the elephants chasing after them.

Ignoring the fallen device, the men prioritize their safety and flee from the charging elephants. Unfortunately, the video abruptly ends, leaving the aftermath uncertain.

Commenting on the incident, the IFS officer remarked, “In their quest for a selfie, they not only engage in foolish activities but do so with enthusiasm.”

Twitter users have responded strongly, condemning the men’s actions as “horrifying” and “silly.”

Demands for legal consequences against the individuals who encroached on the elephants’ habitat have emerged, with criticisms also directed at the apparent lack of vigilance from forest guards.

Amidst the outrage, some users have advocated for enhanced wildlife protection. One tweet urged, “Forest guards should be more attentive!”

Another tweet questioned the situation: “Invading wildlife and their habitat is not only perilous but also a crime. Where are the forest guards on duty?”

However, not all opinions are against the elephants. One tweet noted, “They got what they deserved; hopefully, it teaches them a lesson for life.”

A thought-provoking tweet observed, “Humans act like foolish animals, while animals act more humane than humans.”

The viral clip has garnered significant attention, accumulating over twenty-seven thousand views on Twitter alone.

This incident resembles a similar occurrence from the previous month when a man faced a challenging situation while encroaching on the territory of a wild elephant in a sanctuary in Wayanad, Kerala.
